Item 7 (c): Board Members were provided with copies of the agendas for the October 2017 State SELPA meetings. Board Members were also provided with copies of the October 2017 State SELPA Committee Summaries.
Item 7 (d)(1): For informational purposes only, Board Members received a copy of a CASBO-newsbreak article regarding Federal Update.
Item 7 (e)(1): Board Members reviewed the Coalition for Adequate Funding for Special Education – Legislative Report dated September 27, 2017.
Item 7 (f)(1): Board Members were provided a copy of the finalized 2017-18 CAC Calendar.
Item 7 (g): Board Members reviewed a listing of the GASELPA Trainings/Staff Developments that were conducted during the month of September 2017.
Item 8 (a): Board Members were provided a presentation titled “Introduction to Special Education”, which the GASELPA is offering monthly for member district parents that are new to Special Education.
Item 8 (b): Board Members were provided a brief update on the North Orange County (NOC) SELPA Equalization.
Item 8 (c): Board Members discussed the GASELPA Board program visit to Magnolia High School (Anaheim Union High School District).
Item 8 (d): Board Members were provided a brief update on the recent changes to GASELPA office technology.
Item 8 (e): Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co., LLP – GASELPA 2016 Annual Audit - tabled/moved to the November 15, 2015 Board Meeting.
Item 8 (f): Board Members reviewed the Executive Directors Final 2017-18 Goals.
Item 9 (a-h): Board Members took action on warrants, personnel items and contracts.
